Signing in and Out:
If you come to the library during a class (and your class is not with you), your teacher must send you with a pass. If you do not have a pass, you will be sent back to class. You must sign in at the circulation desk and sign out before you leave.

School rules are effective in the media center at all times. Food and drinks are prohibited next to the computer workstations. Students should be considerate of others in the library by working quietly.

Circulation Policy:
Regular collection and paperbacks may be signed out for 3 weeks.
Reference or reserved books signed out overnight/weekend and holidays are due before 1st period the following day.
Old newspaper issues are free.
New magazines (periodicals) may not be checked out.
Lost or missing library books become your financial responsibility. There are consequences for students who fail to return or pay for books overdue.

Students may print in the library. Please preview (click on File... Print Preview.) all print jobs and print only what is needed. The cost to print in black and white is $ .10 per page. The cost to print in color is $ .25 per page. Please consult the librarians before you do any color printing.

The Media Center has more than 30 computer workstations available for all students who have a Computer Use Agreement on file. Internet use during class time should be for schoolwork only. All Internet sites you visit should be school appropriate. As stated in your Internet Use Agreement form, the following are off limits at NHS:
